There are so many awesome summer programs for kids in the area, whether they’re into sports, STEM, adventures, art, nature, or anything else! We hope you fine this list helpful in your summer planning!

YMCA Summer Camp

Hop Into Summer with YMCA Summer Camp! Through Y summer programs, the social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development of all youth are nurtured and celebrated. Children as well as teens will build positive character values, develop new skills, and make new friends all while participating in a fun and healthy atmosphere! At the YMCA your kids will enjoy: Swimming 4 Days/week! (optional lessons available) Field Trips Once a week! (Memphis Zoo, Sky Zone, Skating & more!) STEM activities and Reading Enrichment! Healthy Snacks! Arts & Crafts, Sports and More! YMCA is offering 21 Camp Locations this year! Hutchison School

Hutchison’s Center for Excellence offers one & two week, full day or half day enrichment camps and workshops in academics, leadership, arts, sports and more! Camps are open to both boys and girls entering Pre-K through 12th grade and are available individually or in combination with our SPARK Day Camp! SPARK Camp is a traditional day camp which runs daily from 9:00am-3:00pm with early and after care available. SPARK Day Camp has crafts, games, and activities each week based around a theme! Swimming and water-slide daily. Lunch and snacks are included in the SPARK fee. Discounts available for multi-week campers and siblings and Center for Excellence crossover campers.

iD Tech

At iD Tech Camps, students ages 7-17 learn to code, design video games, produce videos, mod Minecraft, create with Roblox, engineer robots, model and print 3D characters, work with AI and machine learning, build laptops, learn about cybersecurity, and more! Weeklong, day, and overnight summer programs that instill in-demand skills and embolden students to shape the future are available. Camps available June-August.

University of Memphis



Soccer Shots is an introduction to soccer program that focuses on character development for children ages 2-8. We have age appropriate curriculum, professional coaches and we provide daily updates on yours child’s sessions. We strive to be the best 30-45 minutes of your child’s week! June & July for ages 3-15!

A summer full of fun and a world of dance is waiting at New Ballet Ensemble in Cooper Young! Summer camps are a great way to introduce kids to dance, and for youngsters with dance experience to try new things. We have the most summer dance camps in the Mid-South!


CityDance – for rising middle schoolers

Peter and the Wolf Camp – ages 3-5

Hip-Hop Classes – ages 6-11

Versatile Summer Dance – ages 6-8 and 9-11


Musical Theater Camp – ages 6-10 and 11-13 

Peace, Love, and Hip Hop Camp – ages 6-10 and 11-13

Sleeping Beauty Camp – ages 6-9

Breakdance & Jookin Camp – ages 12-15 

Peter and the Wolf Camp – ages 3-5 (again!)

African Dance & Drumming Camp – ages 6-10 and 11-13

The last day of each camp features a performance for family and friends!


At School of Rock Memphis, we offer 2 types of camps designed for different ages and skill levels! Each camp finishes the week with a live performance by the campers at School of Rock Memphis! Rock 101 Camp June 11 – June 15 July 9 – July 13 Performance Boot Camp Classic Rock June 18, 2018 – June 22, 2018


Choose your own adventure at Summer at St. George’s! With nearly 100 exciting specialty summer camps, there’s something for everyone—sports, performing and fine arts, science, gymnastics, and a whole lot more. There’s even trips to Colorado and North Carolina as well as historic sites in Memphis.


St. George’s also offers Camp Gryphon, a summer-long day camp, for rising grades PK-9. Campers will enjoy sports, games, art, outdoor adventures, and special visitors. Choose any combination of morning or afternoon specialty camps, or supplement with a half-day at Camp Gryphon, for all-day coverage.


A Camp for children with ADHD! The camp is sponsored by The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Boling Center for Developmental Disabilities. June 11-15, 8:30-11:30 St. Columba Conference Center ADHD Camp: ages 6-11 Camp FIRE: ages 12-14 (only 8 spots available!)



The division of Parks & Neighborhoods offers a summer day camp {ages 5-12} at all of its Community Centers and a summer teen camp {ages 13-15} at selected sites. A summer day camp is also offered Skinner Developmental Center. Campers will participate in recreational, athletic and educational activities as well as attend field trips. The campers will be exposed to various activities such as arts and crafts, games, art, music, and health & fitness programs.
