Let the kids bring their swim suits and a towel, we will have a water slide for them to play on, slide provided by DeSoto Bounce.

Start the night with live musical entertainment provided by the Bartlett Community Concert Band starting at 6:00 followed by Jamie Baker & the VIP’s at 7:15, activities for all ages including a car display, children’s activities, concessions and more. When the sun goes down the night sky will light up with a spectacular fireworks show! All activities will take place on the lawn of the Bartlett Performing Arts & Conference Center and Appling Middle School. Fireworks start at 9:15!

The annual Stars and Stripes 5K starts at 7 p.m. instead of 7 a.m!. The race will start and finish at the Memphis Botanic Garden, and benefits the American Red Cross. They’ll have live music and food. The race is $25 in advance and $35 the day of. This is the Final Race of the 2018 M-Town Series presented by University Clinical Health (Finishers get your Finisher Medals).

Join Millington Arts, Recreation, & Parks for our Annual Flag City Freedom Celebration on Tuesday July 3rd at USA Stadium in Millington! Something for everyone with a spectacular fireworks show, a children’s play area and live music! The gates open at 4:00 PM and fireworks will begin at sundown. Parking is $5 per vehicle. Parking is also very limited. Bring your picnic basket, blankets, coolers, and lawn chairs! Food and beverage concessions will be available. For the safety and enjoyment of all, absolutely no guns, lasers, pets, personal fireworks, grills, campfires, or political campaigning will be allowed.

Bring your chairs, bring your blanket, and enjoy an evening of fellowship as we celebrate our independence with a free fireworks show at Poplar Park. Refreshments will be available for sale from the MHS Band as they seek to raise funds for their upcoming Rose Bowl performance.

Held on July 4th, the parade is a Central Gardens tradition for more than 30 years. This event attracts 300-400 attendees to the 1500 block of Carr Ave. (between Willett and Rozelle). Join us on Independence Day morning for free refreshments, children’s and pets’ patriotic costume competitions, music and more!
To be considered for the patriotic costume contest, you must gather at the corner of Rozelle and Carr by 9:00 a.m. Judging will occur at 9:15 and the parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. Contest categories are: Best Patriotic Costume 7 & under and 8 & up, Best Dressed Pet and Best Decorated Vehicle.
After the parade, please stay to enjoy hot dogs, popcorn, sno-cones and drinks…available for everyone!
69th Annual High Point Terrace Annual Independence Day Parade
Memphis | 9:00 | NE corner of Aurora Circle
The longest-running 4th of July parade in Memphis starts in the northeast corner of Aurora Circle in the East Memphis High Point neighborhood on Wednesday morning. Fire trucks lead the parade, followed by cars and floats, then folks on foot/wagons. After it’s over, the trucks turn on their hoses for the kids.

Get dressed up in your best patriotic wear, decorate your bikes and wagons, and meet up at the Peabody Elementary School parking lot for this community tradition. All are welcome to come out and celebrate the 4th of July with popsicles and side walk chalk. Every year is slightly different but it’s always a blast to hang out with the neighborhood and celebrate this patriotic holiday.
Pidgeon Estates 4th of July Block Party and Parade

This year will mark the 27th anniversary of the parade. The event begins and ends on Hollyoke Street in East Memphis. March around the block, eat hot dogs, and play in the firetruck’s hoses.

Free and fun for ALL ages! Watch the downtown Memphis 4th of July fireworks from the rooftop of the Peabody Hotel. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. This is a family-friendly affair, not to be confused with a Rooftop Party. No cover charge, but leave chairs and coolers at home.

Celebrate Our Nation’s Independence with Baseball, a Cookout, and Fireworks, pres. by AutoZone! Gates open at 5:00; the game is at 6:35. Highlights include a jersey auction benefitting the Redbirds Community Fund and a postgame fireworks display. There is also a cookout specialty ticket deal, which includes a game ticket and an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, potato chips, cookies, bottled water, and Coca-Cola products ($23 Dugout/$20 Field Box).

Bring your family and friends to Mud Island River Park for the 2018 Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular! Grab your blanket, picnic basket, and lawn chairs for a day of family fun! We will have live music from 5th Kind-Memphis, free rides for the kiddies, splash pad, riverwarlk, food and drink concessions, and one of the best fireworks display in Memphis.
New this year: secure the best seat in the house and watch the fireworks from the water! Allen’s Kayaking Adventures and Ghost River Canoe and Kayak Club are offering Memphians the unique opportunity to experience the celebrations in a kayak or canoe on the harbor. Participants will launch from the cobblestone landing. Rentals will cost $20 for an hour or bring-your-own-kayak for a $10 launch fee. More details and tickets are available here.
